Dr. Einat Zalckvar

Principal Investigator

Einat knew from the age of 15 that she wanted to be a biologist. After establishing and leading a Peroxi team at the Weizmann Institute of Science for 10 years, Einat  joined Bar-Ilan University and is ready to make her dream a reality.

Dr. Emelia Melvin

Senior Researcher

After doing her PhD in Tel Aviv University Emelia fell in love with peroxisomes. Emelia is juggling between teaching the team how to play with proteins and human cells and establishing new experimental setups.

Eden Bahari

MSc Student

After finishing her bachelor's degree in Bar-Ilan, Eden recently joined the lab as an MSc student.

Artur Sherman

MSc Student

After finishing his bachelor's degree in Bar-Ilan and working in the lab for more than a year, Artur joined the lab as an MSc student.

Artur is our official tissue culture and mice expert.

Mor Shlomy

MSc Student

After finishing her bachelor's degree in Bar-Ilan and working in the lab for few months Mor officially joined the lab as an MSc student. In parallel to playing with peroxisomes Mor is also our lab manager.

​Aaron Cohen

Resercher

After completing his bachelor’s degree at Princeton University and his MSc degree at Bar-Ilan University, Aaron joined the Zalckvar Lab as a researcher. Aaron will focus on studying rare genetic diseses and their underlying cellular mechanisms.

Research Assistant

Neta is juggling her second year of her bachelor’s degree at Bar-Ilan University, working as a research assistant, and conducting research under Artur’s guidance as part of an advanced laboratory course.
